Rachel Wims talks to President Obama about her two blanket drives to help the homeless in Washington, DC. She also talked about her role as a Youth Ambassador with the Victims Rights Foundation. She has traveled on mission trips to Kenya and Ecuador. Gregory Wims, Founder, Victims' Rights Foundation talks about the growing need to find more volunteers to help victims of crime.  Mr. Wims has over 42,000 lifetime community service hours.

News and Events

October, 2011 ( 5th Annual Domestic Violence Luncheon and workshop ) 250 guess, some domestic violence survivors, heard remarks from Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Md. 8th Congressional District, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, State of Maryland, Tom Manger, Chief of Police, Montgomery County, Darren Popkin, Sheriff, Montgomery County. Barbara Talley was the Key Note speaker. The Victims' Rights Foundation partnered with The City of Gaithersburg and The Women Who Care Ministries for the event.
 
October: The family of Jane and William McQuain has asked that donations be made to, "The Dwelling Place" in Gaithersburg, Md.  The Victims' Rights Foundation has made a donation in honor of Jane and William.
 
November: 2nd annual blanket drive for the homeless. This year VRF will focus on the homeless veterans
 
VRF will hold its second community walk with a composite of the man police think knows something about the rape of two Senior Citizens. One senior was raped twice by the same man.
